Membership of the Science Council

Currently membership costs are set at £0.62 per qualifying member per year or a minimum of £1000 per year (for the purposes of Science Council subscription we do not count students or overseas members in the subscription calculation - however your overseas members are of course eligible to apply for CSci should you apply for and be granted a Licence).
If you join the Science Council part way through a year (applications go to the Science Council Board which meets in February, April, July and October) the charges are calculated for the remaining quarter(s) of that year (our financial year is January - December).

 

Applying for Licensed Body Status

All Applications are subject to a one-off £1500 application fee, there is an additional £1000 per year annual Licence fee. Costs to individual Chartered Scientists is £15 per year payable to the Science Council (through the Licensed Body).
Most Licensed Bodies add an additional administration charge (which varies from body to body) to the CSci annual subscription. The amount of administration charge levied is not the responsibility of the Science Council.
