Membership fees

Membership subscription

The Science Council annual subscriptions is based on the numbers of individual members of member bodies excluding students and overseas members. The rate of subscription for 2012 is £0.719 per qualifying member or a minimum of £750 per annum. Our subscription year runs from January to December. For those organisations who join the Science Council part-way through the year a pro-rata charge is made.

Licensed Bodies

There is an annual Licensed Body fee of £1000 and a fee for each individual Chartered Scientist of £20 per annum (which is remitted to the Science Council through the Licensed Body). New applications for licensed body status are subject to a one-off application fee of £1500. The majority of Licensed Bodies make an additional administration charge for the Chartered Scientist annual registration fee and the level of this additional administrative fee varies from organisation to organisation.
